Get to know the Lendhub team! Each day we will be posting a staff member’s experience of lockdown

QUARANTINE LIFE: LENDHUB

WILLIAM PHUNG, ANALYST

HOW HAVE YOU FOUND YOUR NEW WORKING ENVIRONMENT?
Convenient! Super quick to get to the office but definitely different without the team around. We finally also managed to move to our new home during lockdown and have built a little pull out desk (good for saving space) to accommodate for working from home.

WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED?
I’m glad to work for a great company with amazing colleagues, our directors are very encouraging and have provided new opportunities to learn and develop across other sectors which I really appreciate. Seeing the journey of Lendhub following everybody’s efforts is also very motivating, where we came from and where we are now has been awesome. It’s all about the journey for me, similar to the marathon I signed up to! Although I’m not sure if the marathon will take place now because of Covid 19!.

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED THE MOST?
The additional time from not travelling for sure! I love not having to set an alarm clock and spending that time learning something new or exercising. I’ve particularly enjoyed cycling around the parks and commons in the morning, can’t think of a better way to start the morning listening to the birds singing, watching the sun rise and cycling past Deers.

WHAT ARE YOUR PREDICTIONS FOR THE BRIDGING AND DEVELOPMENT INDUSTRY POST CORONA CRISIS?
We are already seeing the industry bounce back strong however, we could see a more cautious approach to lending at reduced LTV/LTGDVs etc… Let’s hope there will be no second peak!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST WHEN THE LOCKDOWN ENDS?
The obvious seeing friends and family it’s got to be. Going to be uncle Will soon and I guess it’s these precious moments that lockdown can potentially take away, I could be meeting him for the first time from behind the barrier of a window… Let’s hope I don’t make the baby cry! Though it may be hard with my dodgy hair, barbers definitely ranks high up the list too.

ANY NETFLIX RECOMMENDATIONS?
MJ’s The Last Dance – much needed sport fix!
